About Michelle
My holistic health journey began in 1996. I wasn't sleeping well, had digestive problems and found myself increasingly stressed, gaining weight, and in pain. Initially seeking weight loss, I began studying food and its impact on my body. What I discovered was a return to vitality. My pain decreased steadily, and I began sleeping better. I found energy I hadn't experienced since childhood. Soon, I felt so terrific that I began studying yoga, and my life hasn't been the same since!
Through the years, I have worked to learn all I can about these amazing disciplines and the power they have to nourish and change us from the inside out. I hold a Master of Science degree in Holistic Nutrition from Hawthorn University and am certified as an Eating Psychology Coach by Marc David. My yoga training includes 25 years' experience with many wonderful teachers. I studied for years with Roy Eugene Davis, a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, maintain a 300-hour Hatha Yoga Instructor Certification through Aura Wellness Center and am a graduate of Bryan Kest's Power Yoga teacher training program (which I highly recommend). I also hold a senior instructor certification through Silver Age Yoga.
In 2014, I completed a teacher training immersion with renowned instructor Travis Eliot. I was also lucky enough to be featured on the cover of Kentucky Living Magazine's January, 2014, issue! They provided a lovely article with photos of some special students as well. Read the article here. The highlight of 2015 was an opportunity to practice yoga with 205 high school sophomores as an instructor through the HOBY Kentucky program. What fun! 2015 also brought a relocation from Kentucky to Athens, Georgia. From 2016 to 2019, I was an instructor at Keep It Simple Yoga. Since that time, I've offered free classes on the UGA campus when health regulations permit.

I use a creative combination of nutrition, mindful living practices, and yoga to create personalized lifestyle programs for my clients. I offer yoga classes in my community and am also a public speaker specializing in understanding food cravings. It is truly an honor to spend my time assisting others in creating a balanced relationship with food and movement firmly anchored in a positive sense of self.
